2018/2019 Friends of Foley Mountain Special Project
The Rideau Valley Conservation Authority is expanding its programs at Foley Mountain this summer by introducing a Forest School. The Friends of Foley Mountain has already provided funds that enabled RVCA to complete the planning, pay salaries for staff time in developing this initiative and enabled them to apply for additional funding from other sources. The Board of Directors have decided to adopt this exciting initiative as our special project for the year and we intend to raise funds to ensure its continued success. Shown below is the RVCA information on the Forest School.
“New this spring and summer — experience nature hands-on, as a family, connect with the outdoors and build a lifelong relationship with the natural world. 12 FREE morning programs for families with children of all ages. Children and parents can experience nature hands-on, as a family, connect with the outdoors and build a lifelong relationship with the natural world. We will spend time wandering and playing in the forest, exploring new treasures, listening to stories, and building creations after a lovely hike. Come out to find community as we walk the trails and play before heading back out into the world.” |
